Hi All, Amazing! I was able to post another chapter within a month! Life is pretty non-stop for Toni as she is given another assignment by the Queen, has her own plans to deal with, Keir keeps her busy with training for a tournament, and spend time with Bram. Happy New Year all! It looks like I made it just in time. I finally posted the next chapter of Season of Darkness for you. Toni often surprises me with the choices she makes and directions she takes this story into despite what I may have planned for her. There's two instances in this chapter that she caused me to alter my plans slightly. She's a tricky girl that one. Beware though, there is more to come (the future ones should be transparent for you but believe me, they rocked my world). After her own life changing isolation, Toni isn't given much time to rest. Hi all! Are you dying for a new chapter? Good, I got one for you! Previously on Season of Darkness; Since becoming a vampire, Toni's gotten herself into many difficult situations. The humans who once were her friends now feel betrayed by her. Even her own creation, Sabertooth, seemed determined to turn against them all. Lacey especially had reason to not trust her as she nearly killed her, yet she remained her friend. She's killed several people including the man who was like a father to her. She's found that not only is she telepathic, but she has relived some of her own past lives, as well as the lives of those who's souls she has taken. And with those past realizations she's happened across the fact that she is somehow related to Bram. Even while worrying about what all these past incidents mean, she must also worry about her future, it's not only the vampires and slaves who believe she will one day become Queen, but also Velren, who mysteriously seems to know more about her than she knows herself. She also found she had a taste for a certain type of blood: vampire blood. All of this culminated into her most significant suicide attempt. She tied herself to trees and waited for the sun to bake her only to nearly be killed by Velren, but instead saved by a couple hiking drug addicts and Bram guiding their way. With Bram she began to recover but killed an innocent wannabe Vampire, Jocelyn. With her future now uncertain because of all this, Keir sends them on a mission of redemption, or is it a trap? Her hunger grows and she attacks more people killing them and creating disaster in her wake while Bram tries to keep her under control. They don't go unnoticed as two sicari (hunters) who also happen to be vampires follow her trail. After catching up with her she kills one of them lusting after his vampire blood. But she's unable to get to the second due to the amount of bullets hitting her, she and Bram are taken down. It doesn't take long for Kama and Urquhart to come to their rescue, and with their help she doesn't kill the other sicarus b ut befriends him. Now they return to the domus, but not until after another small adventure in venatus (slave hunting). Toni's ordered directly by the King to bring in a new slave. Hi all, Thanks for your patience. I know I haven't been too speedy with these new chapters, but believe me I am working hard on other parts of the book as well. Here's the new chapter of Season of Darkness. It will be available on-line only for a short time. Sorry but I'm now keeping tighter control on these in hopes of it being published one day. So Chapter 24 sees the culmination of Toni's plan to get rid of Dwayne the vampire hunter. Hi All, I may not be posting any new chapters but I'm still working pretty hard on Leaving the Light. As I'm also not updating the mailing list as often, I thought I'd create a Facebook Fan Page to keep you all up to date. Then I figured, what if they all don't have facebook? Well, I also created a twitter account and linked my semi-defunct Myspace page to them as well. I've decided I'm going to start removing "Leaving the Light" from the net. The reason: I want to publish it. To even send it anywhere means I need to remove it from free public view. The version on-line is unedited anyway so it's best if publishers don't see it. It's not that I don't love you guys. You're the only reason it's been up this long. I really have hesitated about taking it out of free public view, because I think you guys deserve to read it. However, if we want to see it on the bookshelves I need to remove it from the web. I've already removed it from Fictionpress and will be removing it from Storywrite. It will remain on my own webpage a while longer, maybe even long enough for me to put up the next chapter, which will still be a couple of weeks away. So I ask you, if you do have a personal copy that you've downloaded for any reason, please delete it, it will make publication that much easier and possible.
