11-6-08 - Finally! Finally! The next chapter of Season of Darkness is up! In this one Toni finds her stress level breaking again as she finds the culprit behind Sabertooth's attack.

10-30-08 - Three updates in one month?! This is unprecidented! Well just in time for Halloween I posted a new horror short story.

Bill's Horror; Bill Kurtz escapes to the museum every Halloween to avoid the weirdos. Only this time the paintings seem to pull him in more than usual. I don't normally like the horror genre but this just kind of hit me based on the picture.

To offset that I've also added two new short romances. :)

Swaying Love;Yoshi just returned from a tough mountain climb to learn his true love is engaged to another. This is another story that came to me while looking at a picture originally was going to be a little different but another Storywrite contest inspired me to take it in another direction. Be warned this is encroaching on "adult" territory.

10-25-08 - I now have sperate mailing lists for both my general stories and Leaving the Light. If you're not already subscribed to my mailing list than you can click one of those links and subscribe. If you are already on my list I've automatically switched you over. Don't forget to make sure you spam filters are set for this because I don't know how these will be treated by the e-mail providers.

Also, I added two new short stories; A fairy tale with a twist; An evil man kidnaps the prince's family and demands the hand over of the kingdom of Garlandale. Can the prince save them?The Fall of Garlandale. What would you do with the cards you're dealt? Luck of the Draw.

10-12-08 - What's new? What isn't? I've been busy! First off, something you may or may not notice, I revamped my menus but you shouldn't notice much difference I simply finally found out how to modularize them!  They will be appearing on every page in the near future however.

8-28-08 - I've written a new short story! This time it's a high flying pirate adventure; The Skypirates and Ol' Smokey. I also added a few new poems.

8-19-08 - And...action! the next chapter of Season of Darkness is up! Toni's on the move again, this time a trip to NY interrupts her repair work on Sabertooth.

7-29-08 - I've added two new short stories, one is a mystery: Ocean Waves and the other is a quirky love story from a zombie's point of view: I Hate that I Love You (letters to my ex-girlfriend). These both are the products of contests on a site I'm getting involved in with a lot of good writers on it called Storywrite.com. If you're interested my page is here.

6-14-08 - Chapter 15 of Season of Darkness is up. Is this the start of the next stage of Toni's life? Tragedy after tragedy Toni begins to accept herself for what she really is; a vampire.

5-18-08 - And this one is a month late. Ain't writer's block a bitch? Toni's having emotional problems of her own still trying to accept the news in Chapter 14 of Season of Darkness.

3-16-08 - Yes I've finally updated, I'm only technically a half month late. So now we've reached another major milestone that I've hinted at and many of you already guessed but now Toni knows the truth and finds out exactly what is in the book in Chapter 13 of Season of Darkness.

1-27-08 - We start the new year with a sad chapter of Season of Darkness. Chapter 12 has Toni set against many hardships and she comes to a breaking point. Will she survive it?

12-20-07 - The last chapter of Season of Darkness of the year is up. Chapter 11 follows Toni, Bram and Keir on a hunting trip but will Toni kill the prey or not?

11-21-07 - Toni finds that feeding from animals isn't enough to satisfy her hunger in Chapter 10 of Season of Darkness.

8-2-07 - What could be worse than being interrupted while trying to solve a mystery?  Drinking from snakes perhaps?  Toni finds out in Chapter 9 of Season of Darkness.

5-19-07 - I've made a subtle change to the main pages. There's now a menu system at the top of some pages (like this one). It's still a work in progress. So any feedback on it is appreciated. If anyone out there is a web designer let me know, I really want to fix my pages, but I don't have the skillz.

I also added a new short story called News in the Night  about a boy living in a small town who sighted a UFO.

5-17-07 - May I present Chapter 8 of Season of Darkness in which Toni adjusts to the ranking system of the vampires, free but still a slave. Will she tolerate it?

4-25-07 - Toni continues her quest for the missing box and quest for knowledge in Chapter 7 of Season of Darkness .

3-17-07 -Toni is presented with a new mystery and attends her first gathering as a vampire in Chapter 6 of Season of Darkness. 2-17-07 - Chapter 5 of Season of Darkness is up. Toni develops her skills and discovers a little something from the past, she also finally accepts who she has become.

1-13-07 - At long last Toni is reunited with Bram for the first time after becoming a vampire in Chapter 4 of Season of Darkness.

11-20-06 -Toni takes another step on her journey as she joins the living again in Chapter 3 of Season of Darkness.

10-25-06 - A new chapter of Season of Darkness is up. In Chapter 2 Toni's still dealing with the newness of being a vampire.

9-20-06 - It's not a long wait for the second book to begin. Season of Darkness is here with a prefaceand first chapter! We get our first look at Toni the vampire.

8-20-06 - Well this is it. The last chapter of the first book. One phase of Toni's life ends so that another may begin. Read Chapter 54 of Leaving the Light. 7-20-06 - I had a bit of fun with Chapter 53of Leaving the Light. In-between working on tasks for the King, Toni has intimate encouunters unlike any she has yet experianced with the vampires that will leave her a changed woman.

5-1-06 - Here's a Chapter 52 of Leaving the Light. A hunter army has arrived in town and now Toni must choose her side once and for all.

3-7-06 - Yep that is a new chapter of Leaving the Light you see. Chapter 51 finds Toni dealing with her illness and learning a lesson or two in vampire 101.

2-5-06 - I've updated my webpages but only on my new server which my friend has so kindly allowed me to use since my Geocities page is probably going away. Please update your bookmarks to www.thetesseract.org/~cschnell/index.html or www.thetesseract.org/~cschnell/LtL/vampire.html if you've bookmarked my Leaving the Light page. I've also updated my Starfleet Academy Adventure stories to be using HTML. Look back soon for an actual story update.

12-17-05 - Yeah, I got in another chapter of Leaving the Light before the end of the year! In Chapter 50 Toni finds herself without supervision. Will she follow the right path for own future sanity?

11-15-05 -  Okay, I've been slacking and playing computer games, so sue me. I do have a new chapter of Leaving the Light up. Toni gets to leave the complex again, this time in search of the hunter who killed Erik in Chapter 49.

8-21-05 -  Yeah! Another chapter ofLeaving the Light! This chapter finds Toni giving in to an urge she's been suppressing for some time.

I've also added a Commentary section that looks like a blog but isn't. Mostly it's me ranting or rambling about life. The main reason I put it in this format and not the normal text based webpage is because I want people to rant and ramble back.  It's an experiment, let's see what comes from it.

7-21-05 -  I've added another chapter ofWhy Bot - Why Not where Cynthia befriends a bot after a really bad day at work.

Oh if you hadn't noticed I updated that cartoon on the front page.

6-27-05 - Whew! Made it in just under the line. Toni's taking a trip to Florida, like normal, it's not all fun and games. So go readChapter 47 ofLeaving the Light.

I also won another caption contest, this one shared with a few other people. I've put up a temporary copy of the strip and update it later as the final punchline hasn't been decided yet.

4-21-05 - Okay, I'm cheating. I don't have a new chapter of Leaving the Light. I do however have the first chapter from the novel I never published.  I'll up date this one whenever I don't update Leaving the Light. 

So here's your first look at Why Bot - Why Not. It's all about a future world where robots are common place and capitalism is the name of the game. Strange though how everyone is not happy with this ideal lifestyle.

3-29-05 - Just as I thought I was doing really good publishing a chapter a month I have good things happen in my life which have taken away from my writing time. I have managed to pull together a short chapter ofLeaving the Light. Toni is taught a new lesson and teaches one herself in Chapter 46.

12-19-04 - As if Toni's life wasn't complicated enough she takes a new slave under her wing. At least Bram didn't forget her birthday in Chapter 45 ofLeaving the Light

11-07-04 -  I've been wanting to do this for a while and only now have found a PDF converter I can live with. So without further ado: Leaving the Light in glorious PDF format! Read it at home, read it at work, amaze your friends as you display it on your PDA. Just a little note, this is replacing the html file that contained the entire story as it was more difficult to maintain. If you'd really prefer HTML e-mail me and let me know.

Oh and I've also uploaded Chapter 44 of Leaving the Light. Toni, still in a daze from recent events, finds herself at the center of another gathering.

10-23-04 - I won anotherSev Punchline Contest! Harry Plopper (I know not a great name, but the comics are funny) is a parody of Harry Potter and this one explains why Professor Snape...er...Sourgrape doesn't like Harry. Two in one year! If I keep this up I might make it into the Sev Wide Web hall of fame!

10-15-04 - Look over there it's a three-headed flying monkey! Ha! Made you look. While you were distracted I uploaded Chapter 43 of Leaving the Light. Here Toni is also distracted and dire consequences come from it. And you thought I was just trying to be funny.

9-23-04 - Toni gets some sage advice from Kama in Chapter 42 of Leaving the Light.

8-25-04 - What does a food fight, a hidden passage, horses and sabertooths have to do with each other? Find out in Chapter 40 and Chapter 41 of Leaving the Light.

6-21-04 - So after a few month's toil I've prepared a few extras for Leaving the Light. I have a FAQ, Character Reference and some summaries of the existing episodes. Give 'em a looksie and let me know what you think.

6-12-04 - So many good things are happening this week. I get transfered to my new software job!  Which means more time learning, less time writing. At least for a little while. However here's Chapter 39 of Leaving the Light. Toni has good things happen too! She's made up with Bram, she's getting respect amongst the slaves, and maybe even the King will show her a little trust as he sends her on a suicide mission.

6-10-04 -  WOOO! I won another Sev Punchline Contest! This time for Terrible Twos just as Baby Ethan learns to walk! One of these days I might actually win a Sev Trek one!

5-15-04 - Yeah, almost back on track. Leaving the Light Chapter 38 is now up. Toni's had a frustrating time lately, well now she gets a little relief and also learns why she's been treated as she has.

5-5-05 - I've just added two poems, one I wrote recently and the other strangely similar in meaning I found in one of my old files from several years ago.

4-28-04 - Okay, a month and a half later, or for the optomist I'm early for next month. To make up for it, it's another extra long chapter. Here's Chapter 37 of Leaving the Light.  Toni emerges from her punishment a little worse for wear. She finds life isn't quite the same as it was before. While not as grim as the last chapter she must overcome challenges that are perhaps more mentally torturous.

4-8-04 - I know, it's not a new chapter but I've put up my own profile so you have a miniscule more amount of info on me then you did yesterday. I'm working on the next chapter though, so keep your britches on.

3-19-04 - Toni is about to learn that there is something worse than a vampire's bite as she faces her own personal nightmare in Chapter 36 of Leaving the Light. Just a bit of a warning, this chapter is a bit harsher than most.

2-05-04 - Chapter 35 is now up. Has Toni finally managed to acheive her dream? Read on to learn more.

1-12-04 - In Chapter 34 of Leaving the Light, Al reveals his story and a mysterious man enters Toni's life.

12-3-03 - Wow, less than a month since my last update! Here's the next chapter of Leaving the Light. Toni is released from Keir but not without going through a little more hardship.

11-6-03 -  A little longer than my typical chapter is hopefully worth the wait for Chapter 32. Toni finally meets her match when she's isolated from the rest of the complex. Keir finds new and delightful (for him) ways to put her in her place.

8-22-03 - The good people over at Sev.com have gotten their server problems resolved and are once again allowing us minions to host a page with their competitions on it.  So if you like comics and Sci-Fi or just have a knack for writing witty punchlines checkout the punchiline competitions, there's a different one every few days.

7-17-03 - Moving right along... A wedding, a baby shower, a funeral and three birthday parties later I have finally found time to finish Chapter 31.  Toni has yet again become depressed and is going to great lengths to gain attention she doesn't really need.

Also the full html version of Leaving the Light has surpassed 1M, I don't know if that's really something I should be proud of.

2-15-03 - Chapter 30 of Leaving the Light has been added.  Toni is given a new responsibility: she is to become Mona's mentor.  However it may all be short lived.
I've gotten over 1000 hits on the Leaving the Light main page since July 2001!  I'm glad so many people are enjoying the story!


12-10-02 - Toni begins to reconcile her differences and buffs up her new found ability in Chapter 29 of Leaving the Light.

7-27-02- I finally fixed the broken links on my TSAA page. Which means you can now read Integra Incident and the profiles. Don't get too excited, it's probably the last update I'll do to that page for quite a while.

7-25-02- Wow long time no write!  Well I finally finished Chapter 28. Well here's another milestone (two chapters in a row!) Toni learns quite a bit about herself and something she probably didn't want to know about someone else. There's a poll associated with this chapter which can be found here.

This chapter seemed to fit more into the Episode Trust so those waiting to see what happens in the next Episode will just have to wait a little longer. I've been busy the last couple months, unfortunately it wasn't because of my other project so the next chapter just might take as long as this one.

1-19-02- At long last Chapter 27 is here! This is a milestone chapter as it's one of the major events in Toni's life and contains one of my favorite parts of the story that I have just been anxiously waiting to tell. It also is a nice spot to leave all of you wanting more.

Alas, I have another project I've been putting off too long and I wanted to get to this point in the story before I left it for a little while. Don't worry, Toni won't be left high and dry, after all she still has a mystery to solve and as you can tell by the title of the next episode she has places to go. I'll try not to let my break go too long.


11-18-01 - 1000 hits on my Starfleet Academy Adventure page since July 2000!!! Pretty cool! Thanks to all those who have come and read my stories. I hope you've enjoyed them!

11-11-01 - Sorry it took so long to get Chapter 26  out, it became a bit longer than I expected. In fact the whole episode has become about twice the length I had expected, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. Toni probably doesn't like it though, since she's finding life harder to live yet again. With her investigation over and Bram's refusal of her, she has fallen back into depression with no end in sight.

9-30-01 - HA! Bet you thought I wouldn't get this out by the end of the month! Well with the attack on the 11th and all you can't blame me can you? Well here's Chapter 25 of Leaving the Light. If you think Toni had trouble believing her last suspect was the murder just wait until you read this chapter.

7-21-01 - Well after nearly a month I realized some of the chapters in Leaving the Light was screwed up. I think I have them all fixed now. If you find a problem please e-mail me. I've also added Chapter 24. Toni finally discovers who killed Lowell. Or did she?

6-24-01 - A whole bunch is new. As you can tell I've moved my pages since I'm leaving AOL. I know Geocities has those annoying banners but it's better than that frame on AOL and I have almost 8 times more disk space so I'll have no worries of filling it up anytime soon. Not to mention it's easier to update the pages by simply using FTP. I'm soo happy!

You'll notice a nice little graphic at the bottom of almost every page (if I missed one let me know).  This is a new navigation bar which is quite a bit more economic than the few graphics I was using for Home and Mail. It's most notably present in Leaving the Light where it will take you to the next chapter. If I get ambitious I'll do this in my TSAA pages as well. Let me know what you think of it!

If you're into card games I've added the rules to Mexican poker. Be warned it can be an extremely long and frustrating game! No new chapters on Leaving the Light, but don't worry one's coming soon. However if you visit the pages the first thing you'll notice is I have a new logo. It may seem a little strange now, but I hope you'll understand more as the story goes on.  Let me know what you think of that too.

4-28-01 - Well here I go again missing a couple months, and next month doesn't look too promising, but that's only because I'm going on vacation, no work, no computers and no cell phones, just me my family and the farm animals! It'll be great.

But don't worry, that doesn't mean I won't have my notebook and pencil with me, so the story will still go on. In the meantime read Chapter 23 of Leaving the Light, Toni makes a new discovery about herself that will only make her fear the vampires more.

1/28/01 - You know in the months that I skip posting things I'm not being completely idle. There are times when I write further ahead in the story line and the result of which is my posting of not one but TWO chapters this month with another nearly completed!

So without further ado here is Chapter 21 and Chapter 22 of Leaving the Light. In one of the most action filled piece of the story yet, Toni learns a new lesson or two the hard way.

FYI, I'm converting over to DSL next week. YEAH! So that means my AOL home page will be disappearing in a few months when I find the time to transfer all of the pages over to my geocities page. I'll let you know when it's completed.
 


12/5/00 - So good things don't last too long I guess. After more than a month of writer's block I've finally got out Chapter 20 of Leaving the Light.

Okay, it's not too long, and not intense, but it gives Toni some vital clues to her small mystery. This also marks the beginning of a new episode (and something new for Toni) Trust. Oh yeah, in the meantime I've also won another competition over on the Sev sight, this time the superhero competition click on Spoiler.

9/18/00 - See I told you I would! Chapter 19 of Leaving the Light is on-line and ready to be explored. Toni's luck is running thin, but at least now she has a mystery to solve.

9/7/00 - Chapter 18 of Leaving the Light is now up for your reading pleasure. Toni finds herself in a peculiar position, she just can't win sometimes. Just to let you know if I keep up the pace I've been going the last week, I may have the next chapter up in the next few weeks.

7/13/00 - I've added a new section to the site called Sev Comic Competition which allows you to submit a punch line to a comic strip and compete with others to make it the official winning punch line! I've also added the comic with my winning punch line on my home page.

6/30/00 - Wow twice in one month! Well okay I'm still trying to make up for a couple months missed earlier this year. Here's Chapter 17 of Leaving the Light, as we find out the reason this episode's called Cure for the Sleeping Death. For those who still don't get the connection may I suggest you watch Disney's Snow White.

6/6/00 - Chapter 16 of Leaving the Light has been posted. Toni believes she can trust several of the vampires, but how long will it be before they betray her?

5/8/00 - Finally finished Chapter 15 of Leaving the Light just in time to let the paranoia begin to set into Toni's mind.

3/25/00 - Okay so I missed a month, this new chapter of Leaving the Light is a little longer to make up for it and a little more interesting. So read Chapter 14.

2/1/00 - I've added another way to read Leaving the Light, now you can read the entire story at once in addition to individual chapters. Be warned this file is over 250KB and will grow with every new chapter so it may take a little time to download, be patient! In this format you can also save it and read it all off line.  Please let me know how you like it.

               You might also notice a little change in the look as I finally found a background image I like.

1/28/00 -I've finally moved ahead a bit in Leaving the Light. Chapter 13 has just been posted. Toni finds herself in a bit of a mess as she awakes from what she hopes was just a bad dream.
